From the Vorkosigan novels by Lois McMaster Bujold (continuity-wise, this is Simon from after Cryoburn, including the events of Captain Vorpatril's Alliance).

Simon is a middle-aged white male who tends to dress in reserved colors (mostly black and grey), of pseudo-Russian military design. He can be quite sarcastic, especially around people who know him well, but in public he's usually very reserved, partly a leftover from the over 30 years he spent as the Chief of Barrayaran Imperial Security (he's retired now). He used to have an eidetic memory chip implanted between the hemispheres of his brain. He's still learning to live without it.
